Explore the local community through walking trails located around Spring Creek and throughout the rest of Canmore. There are many walkable spots that are kid-friendly to consider.
Policeman’s Creek Boardwalk is a 3.9 km scenic trail that starts in downtown Canmore and leads to alongside Policeman’s Creek. You’ll enjoy the scenic mountain views and may be lucky enough to spot some of the local wildlife including ducks, deer and elk from a safe distance.
Bow River Loop is another popular, easy trail located in Canmore. The 2.1 km trail stretches alongside the Bow River, starting at the Three Sisters Pathway.
4. Visit nearby playgrounds and parks
What kid doesn’t love spending an afternoon playing at a fun playground? Luckily there are several playgrounds scattered throughout Canmore, including one in Spring Creek (located along the walking trail behind the Malcolm Hotel).
